Today, February 11, is the United Nations International Day of Women and Girls in Science.

In connection with this day Sciencenordic.com has made a presentation of a handful of (Nordic) female scientists who have presented themselves on Twitter with the hashtags #DressLikeAWoman and #ActualLivingScientist.

Among these was GenØk scientist Hermoine Jean Venter.

Hermoine is originally from South Africa, and got familiar with GenØk through an 18-month exchange program with North-West University, funded by Fredskorpset. Today she is a part of a project group doing research on antibiotic resistance in the environment.
